Strange DKW Parts HELP?!?!?!?

Strange DKW Exhaust Manifold (Each Piston gets its own pipe and the pipes only gather after 30 cm! I Had To Modify The whole front of the exhaust system!
1050cc Pistons (Had My 1000S Engine`s Displacement Enlarged To 1050cc)
Inlet and Outlet Ports Done & Polished
Set Of Solex Jets containing a 260 Air Jet fitted to standard 35-40 Solex Carb!
These parts was found in a guys garage who said that we should come and take all the DKW spares he had for FREE!

My DKW is outrunning my mothers 1300 Citi Golf! Can Anyone Tell Me About These Parts?
Someone once talked at a show how he used to race V8 Cars with his DKW (He talked someting about the super DKW`s of the 60`s? Is this what they did or was there more?
